Today Jim Rome had Yahoo! NFL reporter, Charles Robinson, on to discuss why Dez Bryant is having a hard time finding a job. He specifically details why Dez is no longer a fit on the Dallas Cowboys and why the Cleveland Browns should avoid him.
“When you bring in a guy like that, at that age,” Robinson said. “If he can’t bring that elite play on the field, you need him to at least be a program guy.”
Robinson goes on to say that an evaluator for the Dallas Cowboys told him Bryant’s film is particularly bad and that since breaking a small bone in his foot in 2015, Bryant hasn’t been quite the same.
Following his release from the Dallas Cowboys on April 18, Bryant has yet to find a new home despite having a career resume that includes the most touchdown receptions in Dallas Cowboys history.
In eight seasons with the Cowboys, Bryant had 531 receptions for 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns. In 2017, caught just 69 receptions for 838 yards. His last 1,000 yard-plus season in 2014.
