It’s been far too long since our Dallas Cowboys were on the field, but maybe it’s exactly what they needed. They had a rather tumultuous bye week, as they found out that they Ezekiel Elliott would start serving his six-game suspension. Add in that they decided to release newly signed defensive back, Nolan Carroll, and Stephen Paea announced that he would retire from the NFL. 

Fast forward to late Tuesday afternoon, when the Cowboys found out that Elliott would be eligible to play this week and possibly next week. The Cowboys will be in the Bay Area to take on the win-less San Francisco 49ers in a must win game. 

They find themselves in third place (2-3) behind the Washington Redskins (3-2) and the division leader Philadelphia Eagles (5-1), who play each other in the Monday night game. 

A win for the Cowboys on Sunday, and they will definitely gain ground on one of the teams ahead of them, and hopefully get them back on track for the remainder of the season.
