Watch: Emmitt Smith On Ezekiel Elliott
Emmitt Smith, Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame running back, jumped on the Rich Eisen Show to talk about the recent news surrounding Ezekiel Elliott and his 6-game suspension. and He went on to say this is an important crossroads for the embattled 2nd-year running back.
The Dallas Cowboys found out this morning that they would be without the services of their star running back, Ezekiel Elliott. Roger Goodell and the NFL front office handed Elliott a six game suspension, which is expected to be appealed.
Hall of Fame Cowboys running back, Emmitt Smith jumped on The Rich Eisen Show to discuss the situation and how Ezekiel can move forward with his career in the right way and on the right path.
“This is a time to reflect and ask fundamental questions of oneself. Do I want a real long career in this National Football League.”
Emmitt also when on to explain how difficult it’s going to be for Elliott to sit at home and not be able to help his teammates. He mentioned that it would be hard for him to watch others taking snaps that are his and that it would it be “tormenting”.
Eisen asked Emmitt if Elliott has yet to approach him for advice. Emmitt mentioned that they were working towards that and “getting closer”.
