The Big 3 Basketball League started on Sunday in Brooklyn. The league is comprised of 8 teams made up of all former NBA players. Back in May, there was a full draft in Las Vegas where each team captain selected three more players to join them. Power is a team captained by Corey Maggette and Cuttino Mobley who picked Jerome Williams, Moochie Norris, and former NBA Champion Dallas Maverick, DeShawn Stevenson.
Power’s first game was against Tri-State (Bonzi Wells, Jermaine O’Neal, Xavier Silas, Lee Nailon, and another former Mav, Mike James) and it came right down to the buzzer. After a missed three by Silas, Mobley snagged the rebound and found Stevenson wide open at the top of the key. Stevenson nailed it and celebrated as only he can.
