The Dallas Mavericks, Whataburger and Dallas Public Library have again partnered together on the Mavs Reading Challenge, a 15-week program designed to improve reading literacy throughout Dallas and encourage the love of reading for kids of all ages.
Parents, kids and teachers can sign up online at www.Mavs.com/ReadingChallenge to track hours of reading for the chance to win special prizes from the Dallas Mavericks and Whataburger.
To earn prizes, the Mavs are challenging students to read (or be read to) at least 20 minutes a day. Track each day you spend 20 minutes reading and win prizes! All participants who log 40 days by the end of the program will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for your chance to win a Mavs Fan Experience, including: Four (4) Lower Level Tickets, Four (4) High Five Line Passes and a 3rd Quarter Locker Room Tour for a 2018-2019 Mavs Home Game.
In addition to the numerous prizes up for grabs, Reading Time-Outs will be held at various Dallas Public Library locations and will feature Mavs players, legends and/or entertainers who will work with Library Staff to read to area students.
