The Mavericks continue to add coaches to newly-named head coach Jason Kidd’s Staff.
According to Marc Stein, the Mavericks are closing in on hiring both Igor Kokoskov & Greg St. Jean.
Dallas is progressing in its attempts to hire Igor Kokoskov as an assistant coach to Jason Kidd, league sources say.
Kokoskov, who coached Luka Doncic to a EuroBasket title in 2017, is head coach at Turkish power Fenerbahce and would have to be released from his Fener contract.

Coach Kokoskov will come over from Turkish powerhouse Fenerbache. He has previous NBA experience as an assistant and a one year stint as head coach of the Phoenix Suns in 2018.
Aside from being generally regarded as one of the sharpest offensive minds in basketball, Kokoskov’s most notable achievement might be piloting Slovenia to a Eurobasket championship back in 2017. A team featuring a young Luka Doncic.
St. Jean will follow Kidd over from Los Angeles. While he has less profile & shares no connection with the team’s franchise player, he was part of a championship staff with the Lakers.
The Mavericks have an opening for a lead assistant after Orlando hired Jamahl Mosley as its new head coach.
Detroit's Sean Sweeney was the first to join Kidd's coaching staff. The Lakers' Greg. St. Jean, who worked alongside Kidd in LA, is also expected to join the Mavericks.

The two of them join a staff that includes Coach Kidd as well as Sean Sweeney, Darrell Armstrong, and others.
