In partnership with Raising Cane’s, Bedgear and FOX Sports Southwest, Wesley Matthews and the Dallas Mavericks challenged fans to donate new and gently used coats, blankets and other winter items for families in need with the 2017-2018Winter Warm Up Drive. As part of the Dallas Mavericks Season of Giving, the Winter Warm-Up Drive took place between December 1-22nd with collection of items at local Raising Cane’s locations throughout the DFW Metroplex. In addition to the collection, Bedgear, the first performance bedding company, will donate over $100,000 worth of product to the shelter.
On Friday, January 12th, Wesley Matthews, Mavs Dancers and ManiAACs and volunteers from the Dallas Mavericks, Raising Cane’s and Bedgear will help deliver the items to Dallas LIFE, a homeless shelter providing food, shelter, clothing, education and recovery programs for individuals to find a path out of homelessness. After unloading the bus, Wesley and volunteers will make a special visit inside to help serve dinner to Dallas LIFE residents. #WinterWarmUp @MavsCare
