It’s been reported that the Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a three-year deal with 23-year-old Nicolas Brussino. The deal was confirmed by Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
He did declare for the 2015 NBA draft, but didn’t get any takers. He ended up playing for Penarol in Argentina last season, starting in 40 of the 59 games he played over there. He averaged 14.6 points, snagged over 5 rebounds and dished out three assists per game. He has shown the ability to shoot the ball, especially from long distance, shooting 39% from behind the arc.
Check out his highlight video below. Tell me he doesn’t look like a right-handed version of San Antonio Spurs legend, Manu Ginobili. While there is no guarantee he will make the Mavericks final roster, it’s worth taking a shot. It’s worked in the past.
