Raise your hand if you thought the Dirk-less Mavs would be 3-1 with a win over the Lakers and TWO 20+ point wins.

Reminds me of my business calculus class when the professor asked a question. No hands raised, just blank stares!

Here lies the reality: The Dallas Mavericks are good. Really good. Right now the Mavs have FOUR new starters with Dirk out. The chemistry on this team is already ridiculously high through four games. Which is unheard of in ANY sport, considering all of the new pieces.

Now on to the game! One word…MAYOOOOOO! Dallas has a new star and he showed his ability on his 25th birthday. Tonight he scored 32 poi….*interrupted by a random Mayo 3 ball* Ummm…alright OJ thanks. Cut it out though. Not complaining at all but its kind of ruining my article. Thanks OJ!

As I was saying…32 points on 6-8 from deep. Yikes. For his last two games, Mayo has 62 points, 13-18 from 3, and 22-35 from the field. NBA 2K13 numbers on the easiest diffuculty couldn’t even reciprocate this!

In my opinion…Mayo wasn’t the biggest addition in the offseason. “OMG YOU’RE CRAZY” was said to me by a friend when we had this conversation. See the next section for further elaboration.

DARREN COLLISON! We finally have a PG who can SCORE, RUN, PASS, PENETRATE, SCORE, PENETRATE, FINISH, FINISH, and FINISH!

Did I say FINISH! A shot at J. Kidd you say? Maybe…but I won’t FINISH the thought. See what I did there? I win.

Anyway back to Collison! 14 points on 63% shooting and 13 assists is just beastly. Add in only ONE TURNOVER and I am a happy Mavs fan. The way he controls the offense is CP3-like. His last two games he has 32 points and 23 assi…*MAYO WITH ANOTHER 3 BALL*

Mayo draining 3’s all over my article made me forget what I was going to say. So on to the next topic. BRANDAN WRIGHT!

I was BEYOND ECSTATIC when we signed him last year! For the first time in his career he has four consecutive double-digit scoring games. All he needed was time on the floor. Unfortunately Dirkules had to get hurt for this to happen. But eh, Tom Brady would still be riding the bench if Drew Bledsoe never got hurt. AM I RIGHT?! Yes of course I am.

Oh and I coined the “Dirkules” name. I see people using it all the time and I am ready to take full credit. Thanks everybody!

All I know is that when Dirkules comes back…its going to get crazy. Mavs are beasting on everyone right now….lets just say I want a repeat of the 2011 season. You all know where I’m going with this.

Okay in 2011 we won a CHAMPIONSHIP and I am not happy with just one I want another one. That parade was beyond epic and I want it again. Had to break it down there.

I’m not very good at post game recaps apparently. I have yet to mention whom the Mavs even played. I guess I can’t FINISH a recap without doing that right?
