Dirk Nowitzki hosted the 15th annual Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game on Friday at the Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. The star-studded event included athletes and celebrities alike from Chace Crawford to Dude Perfect’s Tyler Toney to Dallas Cowboys’ Tyron Smith and Byron Jones.
This year’s game, which benefited the Dirk Nowitzki and the Heroes Foundation, kicked off with the Heroes Special Olympics All-Star Softball Game followed by the Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game and concluded with a post-game fireworks show.
PGA golfer and 2015 Masters and US Open champion Jordan Spieth attended the game as a manager with The Bachelorette’s JoJo Fletcher threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
While the night included some forgettably “bad baseball” it was Dirk Nowitzki’s White Sox who ended the night with a 16-12 win over the Blue Sox with Dallas Mavericks forward Dwight Powell bringing home the MVP award.
