The Mavs Reading Challenge presented by Whataburger in partnership with the Dallas Public Library is a 15-week program designed to improve reading literacy throughout Dallas and encourage the love of reading for kids of all ages. Parents, kids and teachers can sign up at any of the 29 Dallas Public Library locations or online. Kids can track their reading for the chance to win special prizes from the Dallas Mavericks and presenting sponsor Whataburger. To earn prizes, the Mavs are challenging students to read (or be read to) at least 20 minutes a day. All participants who log 40 days by the end of the program will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for your chance to win a Mavs Fan Experience including four (4) lower-level tickets, four (4) High Five Line passes and a 3rd Quarter Locker Room Tour for a 2018-2019 Mavs home game. Fans can sign up at Mavs.com/readingchallenge.
Reading Time-Outs are mini reading events held at various Dallas Public Library locations that feature Mavs players, legends, coaches, mascots, ManiAACs, Dancers and/or staff reading to students throughout Dallas.
