The Dallas Mavericks (5-3) continue with their four-game home stand taking on the winless Philadelphia 76ers (0-7) tonight. Dallas on Tuesday night produced a miraculous 106-98 win against the Kings, after trailing by 30 points before halftime. The Sixers are seemingly in another rebuilding year trying to put puzzle pieces together. Philadelphia’s point guard Michael Carter-Williams and power forward Nerlens Noel are expected to return from injuries tonight for their season debut.

What to Watch For:
The Veterans vs. The Young Guns
Mark Cuban’s off-season decisions the past two years to snatch up veterans have displayed positive results. Dallas’ team age average is ranked second in the league at 29.0 years. So far through 8 games this season, the Mavs have racked up 105.1 points per game (third-best in the NBA). The Sixers are clearly the youngest team in the league, while being the 25th best team in points per game. The Mavs have to use experience to their advantage and play as an offensively-sound squad tonight.
Redemption for Parsons
This season hasn’t been a walk in the park for the $46 million Mavs small forward Chandler Parsons. Parsons only managed to shoot under 40% from the field, only averaging 9.3 points per game in that span. As a result, some MFFL’s have been skeptical about his role of being the team’s starting small forward. It’s clear that Parsons isn’t in sync with Coach Carlisle’s system yet after playing in Houston for three years. An opponent like Philadelphia could be just what the doctor ordered for Chandler Parsons to gain some confidence in that sweet jumper of his.
