The Dallas Mavericks head into Oakland on a two game winning streak to take on the Golden State Warriors.

Harrison Barnes and Andrew Bogut know Oracle Arena and the Golden State Warriors all to well. Barnes and Bogut both spent four seasons in Golden State reaching two NBA Finals and winning one NBA Championship.

They were both apart of the 73 win team that fell just short of their second consecutive NBA title after blowing a 3-1 lead in last years NBA Finals.

Bogut came to the Golden State Warriors via trade in 2012. Bogut became the defensive anchor in the Bay area right up until his departure. Bogut knows the atmosphere in Oakland will be intense, “its’s going to be more draining than a regular game.”

Barnes had a wonderful start to his career in Golden State. It will be quite the homecoming for him. Barnes said in his pre game presser that his chances of returning to Golden State after the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead were pretty much “slim to none.”

Barnes has bought some of that championship play to Dallas as he has averaged 22.3 points per game along with 5.9 rebounds per game.

The Mavs started the season 0-5 but are winners of their last two. In the Mavs two game winning streak, Harrison Barnes has simply been on fire. Barnes has averaged 32.5 points per game including a career high 34 point performance Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Barnes and Bogut are looking to build off of their two game win streak, winning their 3rd game in a row against their former team will be quite the task, a task they look to pass with flying colors.

Podcast lead host and credentialed media member covering Dallas Cowboys, Texas Legends, and Dallas Mavericks | I am a proud fan of the Dallas Mavericks and have been one since the late 1990s when I was a kid. I'm 25 years old. I was born in Dallas but lived most of my life on the east coast. I lived 9 years in West Hartford Connecticut and 4 years right outside of New York City when I was in college at Hofstra University where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism with a Minor in Political Science. Although I lived most of my life on the east coast, my native Dallas routes never left me. Especially the native routes of the passion that I have for Dallas sports teams. I have so much passion for Dallas sports teams that I knew from the young age of 12 years old that I wanted to go into sports broadcasting just so I could cover my favorite sports teams. I love broadcasting because it gives me a platform to have a conversation!
