Mason : The fan bases for both the Cowboys and Eagles will be watching both games very attentively to see just who finally takes the dysfunctional NFC East. Whether or not it is the last time we see Dallas on the field this season is dependent on the result of the Eagles’ game against the Giants. With all that has happened this year, the 2019 Cowboys still managing to get to the playoffs with an 8-8 record would be fascinating to say the least. Obviously to do that they would still need to get the win in AT&T against the Redskins, which I think they do. The Redskins’ problems and concerns are much worse than Dallas’ and I do not see them coming in on the road and getting the win. Although, the Cowboys have proven me wrong in this case many times this year. It has been a long and tiring season and week 17 will prove to be a fitting way for the Cowboys to either make or miss the playoffs. In either case whether you believe the Cowboys deserve to be in the postseason or not, them making it is undoubtedly a much better option than the Eagles.
Juwan : It’s amazing the final week of the season still presents playoff aspirations for the Dallas Cowboys. It feels as if this team checked out right after halftime in Philadelphia (or looked pass the Eagles). Dallas needs a win and a Philly loss to keep their season alive. I don’t see the Eagles losing to the Giants with their playoff hopes on the line, but I do see Dallas winning. There isn’t much to prove as one week can’t erase a season of inconsistent play but it gives us a final shot to see how these players respond to Garrett and the rest of this coaching staff. If this is the final game of the season, then the least Dallas can do is take care of their final divisional opponent of the year.
