Juwan: This team is becoming more fun to watch each week. Dak Prescott is playing as well as any quarterback in the league and he’s being elevated by the playcalling from offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. My biggest question mark entering this season was how was this defense going to hold up? I know it’s still early but I’m starting to have faith this is one of the better units in football. Not because they’re overwhelmingly elite, but because they complement this offense so well. This defense doesn’t have to be elite. But they must be opportunistic. Teams are going to start forcing throws in an effort to keep up with this offense. This defense’s job so far has been to make them pay for errant throws. And they have. The ceiling on this team continues to elevate with each win.
Nate: What an evening it was for the Dallas Cowboys. The offense looked fantastic. Dak Prescott was great per usual, spreading the ball around well and helping engineer another efficient and effective offensive performance. The offensive line was great again and the offense as a whole continued its great success on third downs, which is where you have to make your money. As fluky as takeaways may be, Dallas’ defense continues to generate takeaways at a high level as Dallas leads the league in takeaways and has the best turnover margin in football. The young stars of the defense shined, as Trevon Diggs had a pick-six, Micah Parsons was great again, and Osa Odighizuwa continued his strong start with a pair of sacks and was in the backfield all night. This was a statement game for Dallas as a playoff contender, not because Philadelphia is anything to write home about, but because it is abundantly clear that Dallas is the best team in the NFC East right now. The Eagles appeared to be the only major threat to Dallas and the Cowboys thoroughly dominated them for four quarters. A+ evening for just about everyone.
