Andrew Bogut’s visit to Rio for the 2016 Olympics did not start out on a good note. After arriving, the Australian athletes had to wait an additional two days before being able to move into the Olympic Village due to electrical and plumbing issues. After finally being able to move in, there were still many problems with the living conditions. The Dallas Mavericks new starting big man took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with these underwhelming conditions by creating the sarcastic hashtag #IOCLuxuryLodging.

At #IOCLuxuryLodging we believe a bed is not vital for sleep. Fine tuned athletes can sleep standing up. https://t.co/FcsEAf33Sm

Despite having to put together a shower curtain and sleeping on a bed that is too small for a 7-footer, Bogut has come out strong for the Aussies in their first 2 games. In a shocking 87-66 blowout of France, Bogut tallied 18 points (9-of-10 shooting), 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 block in a little over 22 minutes.
In his next game against Serbia, Bogut filled up the stat sheet yet again, scoring 9 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks in 25 minutes as Australia won big again, 95-80.
After going down with a brutal-looking knee injury in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, many fans wondered how Bogut would look when he returned to the court. So far, the results have been fantastic. If Bogut can keep up this level of play heading into the 2016-2017 NBA season, the Mavs will have arguably found the best overall production they’ve had at the center position since having Tyson Chandler in 2011, and we all remember how fun that team was to watch.
How do you go 9-of-10 from the floor? Throw it down, a lot. #Olympics pic.twitter.com/YmRbuuQGQJ
