Highlights: Dallas Mavericks Advance To Semi’s After Rout of Celtics

It was all supposed to be about the showdown between Dennis Smith Jr. and Jayson Tatum. It was reported earlier in the day that Tatum would be sitting out his second straight game. Dennis Smith, one of the stand outs of the NBA Summer League struggled early with his jumper and never really got going.

It was no problem though, because the Mavericks had plenty of help from the rest of their squad. Yogi Ferrell scored 20 points and Nicolas Brussino put in 18 as they helped lead the Dallas Mavericks (5-0) to a 91-74 win over the Boston Celtics (4-1). Dennis Smith Jr. was only 1 of 6 from the field with just three points.

The Mavericks will now take on the Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow night (7 CT) in the Semi-Finals to decide who will head to the Summer League Championship game. The winner of that match-up will take on the winner of the Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trailblazers game.
