FC Dallas Returns to TXA21 for 27 Games in 2018

TXA21’s coverages includes matches against Toronto FC, Atlanta United, LAFC and Houston Dynamo                           

FRISCO, Texas (Wednesday, February 14, 2018) – FC Dallas announced its 2018 television schedule today which includes 27 regular season games on TXA21. Seven of FC Dallas’ games will be featured on national television, with three on Univision, three on UniMás and one on FS1.

TXA21 kicks off its coverage for the 2018 season at 7PM (CT) on Saturday, March 3 as FC Dallas hosts Real Salt Lake in the season opener presented by Toyota. TXA21 will also showcase FC Dallas’ only match against defending MLS Cup Champion Toronto FC on Friday, May 25 at BMO Field.

Other highlights of TXA21’s broadcast schedule include:

  • Expansion LAFC’s first visit to Toyota Stadium on Saturday, June 2
  • Atlanta United’s first visit to Toyota Stadium on Wednesday, July 4 presented by CoServ
  • Two of FC Dallas’ three matchups in the Texas Derby against the Houston Dynamo (July 21 and September 1)

“We are looking forward to some really exciting match-ups on the TXA21 broadcast schedule this season,” said Gary Schneider, president and general manager of CBS 11 and TXA 21. “This is a very special year for MLS in North Texas, and we are pleased to continue our longstanding partnership with FC Dallas.”

Mark Followill returns for his seventh season as the television play-by-play announcer for most TXA21 broadcasts. Steve Davis will split time in the TV broadcast booth and radio booth for FC Dallas matches, serving as the play-by-play voice on FC Dallas’ English-language radio broadcasts when not on the TV broadcast.

All 34 matches will be streamed live on FCDallas.com/Radio in English with Davis or Tyler Kern providing play-by-play duties.

Carlos Alvarado returns for his 23rd season in the Spanish broadcast booth on 1270AM Univision Deportes. Rafa Calderon will join him, once again, as the color analyst. The duo also hosts FC Dallas Semanal on 1270AM every Thursday from 4-5PM during the MLS regular season.

Streaming Pre- and Postgame Shows
FC Dallas Extra Time Presented by Toyota returns for its fourth season and moves to a digital-only platform with Gina Miller hosting the live, interactive broadcast. The show will be simulcast on FC Dallas’ Facebook page and on FCDallas.com immediately before each home game at Toyota Stadium and before select road matches.

The FC Dallas Toyota Postgame Show returns to Facebook Live and FCDallas.com in 2018. Miller and Carter Baum will host this show immediately following FC Dallas matches at Toyota Stadium and following select road games.
