Ezekiel Elliott Attends Boat Party On Cowboys’ Day Off

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. Ezekiel Elliott was spotted partying over the weekend. This time it was on water and not land. The Dallas Cowboys had an off day last Sunday, a day after their 24-19 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Elliott had multiple photos taken of him partying on Lake Lewisville in North Texas, which is a popular party spot about 20 miles from Dallas.

While it was also mentioned in the TMZ report that Elliott was just “chillin on a couple different boats and talking to friends” and he also wasn’t drinking any alcohol or taking part in anything scandalous, it once again shows his neglect for how serious the situation he finds himself in. Elliott is expected to have his appeal heard on August 29th. Sure, he’s not doing anything “wrong” here.

He’s an athlete enjoying his day off with friends on a boat, right? Wrong. Given his situation and the pending six game suspension, he should be laying low and avoiding these types of events. Sure, there is no video of him pulling a woman’s top down this time. It seems like he was being responsible, but he just doesn’t seem to get it. It’s been said that his legal team is preparing for battle when it comes to the Aug. 29 appeal, but he doesn’t seem to be doing the same.

While a six-game suspension is a hit to the Cowboys offense early on this year, I really believed that the suspension would be exactly what was needed for Elliott moving forward. Mess up in the NFL and you’ll be held accountable. It was mentioned in the suspension letter that further bad events for Elliott could lead to a banishment from the league entirely. You would think that all of that would be the warning he needed to hear, but he is failing to understand just how these things look and how the rest of the league will interpret it.
